Ok atm im a lvl20 w/mo and i completed all the PvE missions and all except 1 bonus but i want to create an necro character. 1) i wanna know whether i should choose a mesmer or monk as my secondary (monk is cool but its not all its cracked to be) 2) is it a good idea to be farming with a mm necro or is there better, easier, and more profitable builds (would help if you could post builds here) 3) what are some great spots to be farming with the posted necro builds (if any are posted lol).

ANY answers to any of the three questions would be appreciated.

If you want to farm I would make a n/mo, 55hp with SS or SV works wonders in HM

Minion master farming isn't doable in HM and since NM farming isn't profitable anymore I would go for N/Mo 55hp.

yeah, a necro's only real hope of reliable HM farming is in the 55hp concept. you can farm in a ton of places with 55 Spiteful Spirit or 55 Spoil Victor, and it's easy and profitable.

A few months ago I started a necro and I was torn between Monk and Mesmer as well. I choose mesmer and its been pretty fun for me. I'm actually changing over to a 55 N/Mo now but I'm certainly not sorry I choose mesmer instead of monk. Its costing me a little to buy the needed skills for a 55 now but I think mesmer is more fun.

Definitely go 55, if you are making in prophecies (I'd suggest you do) make it N/Mes for the easiest ascension in the chapter. You can change secondaries basically right after the desert.

You can do the early (post sear) prophecies skill quests for any profession if you make the character in prophecies. I've done all of them on the same character, the ones you can't redo for new skills are the ones which give you a skill for each prefession. But like monk only quests, go do them, free skills.

There are a few farming spots for Necros that don't involve being a 55 /Mo ...
For instance... there are a few that a N/Me can farm around rocks and the like with Spirit Shackles and Spiteful Spirit. Byzzr Wingmender in Melandru's Hope is the simplest example of that.... though if you have high Kurzick faction then you can also do the same with Sstou Swiftscale (and his group of Naga Rangers) in Maishang Hills.
